I help small businesses and individuals (and books!) get themselves online. I build websites, set up emails, discuss social media and even help make sure you have the content you need on your site.
A large portion of clients come from recommendations and I take pride in making the whole process painless and, indeed, even enjoyable. I don't work and run, so don't worry, I'll be around for any questions or issues you might have.
Most of the websites I do for small businesses are made with WordPress. It’s easy to use, well supported and the design and functionality can be completely customised to your requirements. I can provide you with everything from domain name registration to tech support on your finished site. If you simply need help with an existing site, I can do that as well, no matter which cms you’re using. I also have a great deal of experience providing day to day technical and customer support for online communities.
- website design and development
- domain name registration, hosting and email setup
- tweaks and edits of websites, whatever your current cms
Social media and communities
Need to get started with Twitter, Facebook or Pinterest? I can help you set up your accounts, get them incorporated into your site and give you some basic advice on how to interact with your users*.
I also offer survey help and day to day as well as more technical support to established communities and forums and can develop these to your needs.
- setup of social media accounts
- website integration
- forum and community development
- ongoing or one-off technical support for forums
*Always be nice, be interested in other people and don’t relentlessly alert people to every bit of good press.
Social media is great and necessary these days, but email newsletters still have their place in marketing. If you’d like to start one through your site or redesign your existing newsletter, let me know. Also, I have experience in enticing users to sign up to lists.
Even the best developed and most perfectly designed websites aren’t effective without content. It is one of those things that is more difficult than it looks and I’m happy to lend a hand producing it.
- regular updates of press coverage
- events listings
- standalone posts and articles
- websites designed around your writing schedule
